 Ophthalmology/Neurology Acupuncture Consent Form

Ouchi Comprehensive Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinic requires prior consent from all patients receiving acupuncture treatment for ophthalmology and neurology (paralysis, convulsions, etc.). Please understand the following and sign the consent form before receiving treatment.

1: Purpose

Acupuncture treatment for the facial area, including ophthalmology and neurology, uses extremely thin, 0.10-0.18mm diameter, domestically produced, high-quality stainless steel needles and the finest domestically produced moxa. This treatment aims to promote blood flow and improve muscle contracture and deep blood flow disorders.

2: Effects

Acupuncture treatment has both immediate and delayed effects. Effects may be seen immediately after treatment, or they may take some time to appear. The effectiveness of acupuncture treatments varies depending on age, severity of symptoms, constitution, living environment, and habits.

3: Risks

During acupuncture treatments, needles are inserted into tissues such as the skin, capillaries, and muscles, which may cause slight tingling, subcutaneous bleeding, or very slight bleeding.

During moxibustion treatments, you may occasionally feel a burning or tingling sensation in some areas. However, this is not due to treatment errors and will not leave any burns.

In rare cases, bruising may occur due to subcutaneous bleeding, but this will disappear naturally within about two weeks.
